About ARI

The African Resilience Institute is an Africa-rooted think-and-do initiative working at the intersection of energy and climate transitions, economic transformation, public finance, institutional development, and geopolitics.

ARI is established and operated by Wellspring Charitable Association, a non-profit registered in Cameroon. Wellspring provides ARI’s legal, fiduciary, administrative, and governance platform while protecting the Institute’s intellectual and editorial independence. We begin with energy and climate transitions because they reach into every part of Africa’s development future.

Energy shapes industrialisation, public services, enterprise, and human opportunity. Climate change increasingly affects infrastructure, agriculture, finance, livelihoods, ecosystems, and security. By examining these transitions in their wider economic and institutional context, ARI connects climate ambition with productive transformation, fiscal resilience, capable governance, and African agency.
